About the author
Dr. Rick Lindal has a bachelor’s of science in psychology from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. He obtained a doctorate in psychology at York University, England, while researching emotional responsiveness in adolescents. He subsequently worked at a youth custody prison facility for young adults. He returned to Canada in 1986, where he directed an outreach program for mentally disturbed young adults at the Kitchener-
